For Families
Every child develops differently, and it’s okay to have questions along the way.
Because early concerns can feel overwhelming.
Every child develops at their own pace, but early communication milestones matter. Early on, children learn cause-and-effect relationships and develop attention and listening skills as they engage with people and their environment. They begin to participate in turn-taking routines, use gestures to communicate, and imitate sounds and actions that they see.
As development continues, children produce environmental sounds and use core words to express needs and interests, eventually expanding into first words and simple verbs.
Over time, they also develop an understanding of basic concepts and prepositions, which support comprehension and more advanced language use. These skills naturally emerge and strengthen when supported through responsive, engaging interactions embedded within daily routines at home.
